I (you) is a location where being and non-being evolve simultaneously. It is a location where need and demand are separated and desire is formed. A desire to experience being or non-being of “I” with “you”. I (you) have tried many times to face the self and at the same time, the other. Thus, we have made a barrier inside of ourselves. Without involving this forbidden area we have drawn a line at the end point of “I” and the start point of “you”. “I” is the main subject of meaning production; the closed world of my own discourse. A discourse that somehow satisfies the desire for self-recognition. “I”am continuously moving and manifest in different forms: “my” country, “my” instrument, “my” mirage, etc. …
But this distance from “I” gives meaning to “you”. “You” are the starting point of the dialogue and without “you” there would be no identity for the “I”. This “I” is the cumulative result of difference from “you”. “You”put “I” in a position of detachment with the self and so it returns to its primary position. In this round trip, I arrive at a better understanding of my “self”. The end point of this play is a split in existence between “I” in presence of “you”. This play may change over time or may even be completely transformed, but it eventually comes to a point: I (you).
